Privacy Policy
Dealer's Dice Co. ("we," "us," "our") runs the online dice shop at dealersdiceco.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email drew@dealersdiceco.com and we'll sort it out.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to sell you dice and get them to your door.
- Order information. When you buy dice, we collect your name, email, shipping address, and the items in your order. Payment card information is entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store your full card number.
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send occasional updates about new drops and deals.
- Customer support communications. If you email us, we keep the thread so we can actually help you.
- Technical data. Like most websites, we log basic request information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) through our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare. We use it for security, debugging, and anonymous site analytics — not to track you across the web.
- Local browser storage. Your cart contents and theme preference (retro
vs. modern) are saved in your browser's
localStorageso they persist between visits. This data never leaves your device.
2. How we use your information
- To process and ship your orders, and send order confirmations and shipping updates.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To send newsletter emails, if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and keep the site secure.
- To improve the shop (what's selling, what's not, where things break).
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information — ever. We share only what's necessary with the service providers that keep the shop running:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy.
- Supabase — database hosting for orders, products, and newsletter. Supabase's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, CDN, and image delivery. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, or similar) — we share your name and shipping address so they can deliver your order.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use the minimum necessary. Your cart and theme choice live in localStorage.
We use a simple session cookie during checkout to keep your order tied together. We do
not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site profiling, or
behavioral retargeting pixels.
5. Data retention
- Order records — kept for at least 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Newsletter subscribers — kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.
- Support emails — kept for up to 3 years for reference.
- Server logs — rotated by Cloudflare on their standard retention schedule (typically days to weeks).
6. Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can email drew@dealersdiceco.com to:
- Access the personal information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account, order history, or newsletter subscription.
- Get a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of marketing emails (you can also click "unsubscribe" in any email).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we've collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days. We won't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
7. Children's privacy
Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
8. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, store data with reputable infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe) that maintain SOC 2 or equivalent certifications, and limit admin access with password-protected authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. International visitors
We currently ship within the United States only. If you visit the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the homepage or sent to newsletter subscribers.
